East Jackson's wrestling team won the Elbert County Tri-Inferno tournament, defeating Elbert County 55-14 and Johnson High School 64-9.
Brody Buckley (113 pounds), Angel Rodriguez (120), Robert Hollett (126), Mason Smith (132), Ryan Lampe (150), and Kole Smith (157) each won individual championships, while Colt Johnson (165), Chase Wingfield (190) and Paul Jenkins (185) finished second. Evan Reed finished third and Emer Jacinto finished fourth.
The girls wrestling team finished fourth, with Seanna McCarthy and Jayce Trogdon finished first in their respective weight classes.
