East Jackson's volleyball team secured a 2-1 win on Tuesday night over Oglethorpe County. The Lady Eagles have now won four of their last five matches in what has been a heavily contested non-region schedule that has featured the likes of Jackson County, Jefferson, Oconee County and Loganville.
All those schools compete in higher classifications than East Jackson. East Jackson begins region play Sept. 10 against Hebron Christian Academy. In the win over Oglethorpe County, Logan Beck led the way with 14 kills while Karly Petty recorded a team-high 19 assists and eight digs. Emily Lampe finished with six kills and five blocks, while Gavin Guest had a team-best 4 aces.
