The East Jackson swim team had an outstanding day at the Tallulah Falls Invitational on Saturday. The Eagles' lone male swimmer was Reed Cassidy, who set a new school-record of 24.82 seconds in the men's 50-meter freestyle to place fifth overall in the event.

The Eagles' girls team placed fourth overall. Cassidy, Reese Poelker, Piper Pennington and Courtney Cameron all set personal records. Taylor Joyner (100-meter butterfly) and Cameron (100-meter breaststroke) each finished in first place. Cameron also qualified for the Class AA State Meet with her performance in the breaststroke event.
