The East Jackson softball team split a doubleheader on Saturday, defeating Putnam County 19-11 before falling to Oglethorpe County 6-0.
Skyla Faulkner drove in five runs in the win over Putnam County, doubling in the fourth inning to drive in three, homering in the third inning and forcing a bases-loaded walk. East Jackson finished with 12 hits in the win over Putnam County. Araya Underwood drove in four runs in the win, while Ashlyn Tucker and Terri Fincher each drove in three runs.
Every East Jackson starter scored at least one run in the game, with Underwood, Tykeria Johnson and Kinley King led the way with three runs each. In the circle, Ashlyn Geipal struck out six batters in the win.
