The varsity soccer teams from East Jackson High School swept Prince Avenue on Tuesday night. The Lady Eagles won 3-1 and the boys won 6-0. The contests on Tuesday were non-region games, however it gave both teams a glimpse into next season when the schools will compete together in Region 8-AA.
In the girls' game, Melanie Tidwell scored the first goal for the Lady Eagles, and Georgia Hooper followed suit three minutes later with another goal. With 14 minutes left in the game, Megan Gates iced the game with the third goal for East Jackson.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Dunwoody on Friday as they prepare for regional play to start next week.
