The East Jackson girls tennis team dominated Davidson Fine Arts in the first round of the Class AA state playoffs on Wednesday afternoon. East Jackson will face region foe Stephens County in the Sweet 16 round.
No. 1 singles Taylor Joyner won 6-3, 6-1, No. 2 singles Addie Jarrett won 6-2, 6-4 and No. 3 singles Kynzie Curtin won 6-3, 6-1. No. 1 doubles team of Emma Murphy and Cambell Pettus won 6-1, 6-0 and No. 2 doubles of Ava Sorrow and Courtney Cameron won 6-1, 7-5.
