The East Jackson girls basketball team improved to .500 on the season, defeating Apalachee 35-30 Tuesday night. Emi Lou Moore finished with 10 points, while Zara Gillespie finished with eight points, and Ryleigh Nunn with six.
East Jackson hosts Winder-Barrow on Friday night.
