The East Jackson girls soccer team is headed to the GHSA Class AA Sweet 16 following a dominate 5-1 win over Stephens County Thursday night in the opening round of the state playoffs.
East Jackson will host Jackson High School (Jackson, Ga.) in the second round inside Eagle Stadium.
Melanie Tidwell led all scorers with two goals Thursday night, while Elizabeth Wegasend, Natalie Betancourt and Natalie Nunez each had a goal in the victory.
