Girls Swim Finishes 4th at Tallulah Falls Holiday Invitational
The East Jackson girls swim team finished in fourth place at the Tallulah Falls Holiday Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Eagles saw two new school records get set in the 200-medley and 200-freestyle relay.
The combination of Courtney Cameron, Taylor Joyner, Piper Pennington and Emma Miller set the mark in the 200-medley with a time of 2:11.95 and in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:57.49.
Cameron and Miller also finished in first place in individual competitions, with Cameron taking the 100-breast stroke and Miller the 100-butterfly. Cameron and Miller each finished with a team-best 15 points in the meet.
Overall, the boys and girls team combined for 11 individual competitors finishing in the top 10 of their competitions.
