The East Jackson girls soccer team earned a 5-2 win over Winder-Barrow in Tuesday night's season opener. It was the first win under first-year head coach Alicia Walker.
Megan Gates, Natalie Betancourt, Vanessa Vaca-Nava and Melanie Tidwell each scored goals in the win. EJHS also benefited from a Winder-Barrow own goal on a corner kick from Tidwell.
East Jackson hosts Commerce on Friday night.
