The East Jackson girls soccer team earned its first win of the young season Tuesday night, defeating Apalachee 2-1 on the road. Freshman Blake Poelker scored both goals for the Lady Eagles, while Allison Wilbanks and Melanie Tidwell each recorded an assist.
East Jackson is now 1-0-1 on the season and visits Lanier on Friday night.
