Girls, Boys Basketball Get Wins Over West Hall

The girls and boys basketball teams at East Jackson High School earned wins over West Hall Tuesday night. The Lady Eagles defeated West Hall 51-42 to earn their first win of the season, while the boys improved to 2-0 on the year with a 58-53 victory. 

For the Eagles, Charles "Birdy" Cunningham led the team with 11 points, while three other Eagles tallied nine points in what coach James Bulmer called a "definite team win." Bulmer also noted "our bigs did a good job on their big and we got stops down the stretch when we needed them."

For the Lady Eagles, Emilou Moore had a team-high 18 points, while Leeshia Collins had 15 points and Jariah Thomas finished with 12 points.
