The East Jackson girls basketball team won its second consecutive game Monday night, downing Apalachee 47-43. The win followed up a 59-12 win over Monsignor Donovan on Dec. 9, improving the Lady Eagles' record to 3-7 on the season.
Emilou Moore was a perfect 16 of 16 from the free-throw line Monday night against Apalachee, leading East Jackson in scoring with 19 points. Zariah Gillespie finished with 15 points and Jariah Thomas with 12 points in the win. Against Monsignor Donovan, Moore led the way with 17 points while Gillespie and Thomas each finished with 16 points.
East Jackson hosts Jackson County on Thursday night before visiting Lumpkin County on Friday before pausing for winter break.
