Football Dominates East Hall
Drew Richardson rushed for 206 yards, threw for 103 more and accounted for four total touchdowns as the East Jackson Eagles downed East Hall 45-27 on Friday night in the 2024 Homecoming Game for EJHS.
East Jackson (3-2) hosts Hebron Christian Academy on Friday night to open Region 8-AA play.
Richardson's stellar offensive night was the epitome of the offensive production from the Eagles, who racked up 434 yards on the night (331 rushing, 103 passing). The Eagles accounted for 61 plays and 18 first downs.
Jamarion Parks finished with 59 yards rushing and a touchdown while Branturan Callahan finished with 58 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown score.
Callahan finished with a team-high three catches, 41 yards and a score.
Defensively, the Eagles settled down in the second half and put a limit to East Hall. Jaydin Buice, Jaylon Jennings and Blaylin Brookshire all finished with interceptions on the night for the Eagles. Kole Smith finished with six tackles, Ryan Lampe with eight and Chase Wingfield with six.
