The East Jackson Eagles wrestling team placed eighth as a team in Class AA this past weekend at the Traditional State Wrestling Championships in Macon.
Mason Smith (120 pounds) led the way for the Eagles with his third-place finish in the tournament.
Charlie Wheeler (106 pounds), Avery Smith (132 pounds), Ryan Lampe (138 pounds), and JZ Lester (175 pounds) all contributed to the teams placement with fifth place finishes.
