East Jackson secured 201 points to win the Region 8-AA traditional wrestling championship Saturday at Stephens County High School.
Three Eagles — Isaac Robbins (120 pounds), Mason Smith (126 pounds) and Matt Streetman (285 pounds) — all won individual championships. Brody Buckley (106 pounds), Angel Rodriguez (113 pounds), Kole Smith (150 pounds), DJ Ferizovic (190 pounds) and Emer Jacinto (215 pounds) claimed second-place finishes. Ryan Lampe (144 pounds), Tristan Sloan (157 pounds) and Chase Wingfield (165 pounds) finished third, while Robert Hollett (132 pounds) and Evan Reed (175 pounds) finished fourth. Robert Acevedo (138 pounds) finished fifth.
