Coming off the best season in school-history, the East Jackson baseball team has announced its 2025 varsity schedule.
The Eagles, who finished with an above .500 record in region play a season ago and finished as the No. 3 seed in Region 8-AA, will open the year with a home-and-home series against Athens Academy. The Eagles visit ACAD on Feb. 11 before hosting the Spartans on Feb. 14.
The Eagles will also host BASA (Feb. 17), Johnson (Feb. 21), Monroe Area (Feb. 28), Apalachee (March 3) and Central Gwinnett (March 4) in non-region action. The Eagles will go on the road to Banks County (Feb. 19), Johnson (Feb. 22), Apalachee (Feb. 24), Madison County (March 5) and West Hall (March 7).
Region 8-AA play will commence on March 10 with a home game against Hebron. This year's region slate features each team playing the other teams within the region three times, with one team hosting two games of the three games. All three games will be played on separate days.
The Eagles will host Hebron on March 12, with the final visit to the Dacula-based school coming on March 14. East Jackson's series against Stephens County will feature two road contests on March 17 and March 21, with a home game on March 19.
The final three region series of the year will feature East Jackson hosting two of the three games. The Eagles face reigning state champion Prince Avenue March 24, 26 and 28 before Franklin County on March 31, April 2 and 4. Following spring break, the Eagles close out the regular season against Hart County on April 14, 16 and 18.
