East Jackson’s boys basketball team used 31 points from Qua Watson to defeat Johnson 69-40 on Tuesday night.
Watson’s 31 points was joined by his 10 rebounds, two assists and four steals to give the Eagles a 1-0 start on the season. Noah Nichols recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, tacking on three assists in the process.
Brody Carruth finished with six point, six rebounds and five assists, while Bryson Henss had seven points and nine rebounds
The Eagles visit Apalachee on Saturday before hosting Monroe Area on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
