The East Jackson varsity basketball teams swept Monsignor Donovan on Tuesday night. The Lady Eagles earned a massive 61-16 win, and the boys earned a double-digit win, 65-50.
The Lady Eagles dominated from the start, building a 19-2 first-quarter lead. Emilou Moore led all scorers with 24 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and seven steals. Zariah Gillespie finished with 19 points, while Jariah Thomas had 10 points and six rebounds.
The boys were led by Qua Watson with 14 points, while Brody Carruth finished with 12 points. Noah Nichols finished with 11 points, Aaronn Blackmon with 10 and BT Callahan with eight points.
