Baseball Downs Knights, Earns First Win

East Jackson scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to erase a one-run deficit and beat the Central Gwinnett Knights 7-5 on Monday afternoon, earning East Jackson's first win of the young baseball season. 

Drew Richardson was 2 for 3 with two runs scored from the leadoff spot for the Eagles, while Jackson Moses was 2 for 4 with two runs batted in and two runs scored in the cleanup spot. Jayden Nunez was 2 for 4 with a run batted in. 

On the hill, Warren Hilley pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing one earned run on five hits while striking out six batters. Nunez earned the win, pitching 3 2/3 innings, allowing one unearned run while striking out four.

East Jackson visits East Hall on Thursday night before hosting Knights on Friday night. East Jackson then has a home-and-home with Banks County beginning Feb. 23 in Homer and continuing Feb. 25 in Commerce.
