Baseball downs East Hall, 9-3

East Jackson tallied 11 hits and committed no errors to defeat the East Hall Vikings 9-3 Thursday night in Rabbittown. 

East Jackson (2-3) jumped out early, scoring three runs in the first and four in the second before adding two more in the top of the fourth inning.

The top of the order had a massive night for the Eagles, as the top four batters combined for eight hits, seven runs and eight runs batted in. Jackson Moses led the offensive attack for the Eagles, going 3 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Drew Richardson was 2 for 4 with three runs scored, while Walker Mauldin was 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored. Brady Saunders drove in three runs on the night.

Brooks Saunders allowed two runs in four innings of work, while striking out five batters. Kayden Odom allowed one run in two innings of relief, while Warren Hilley struck out the side in his only inning of work on the mound. 

East Jackson hosts Central Gwinnett Friday before a home-and-home against Banks County on Monday and Wednesday. The Eagles will visit the Leopards in the first game of the series. All three upcoming games will begin at 5:30 p.m.
