East Jackson High School will send 12 wrestlers to the state tournament in Macon this upcoming weekend, following Friday and Saturday's sectional tournaments.
Seanna McCarty (115 pounds) won the sectional tournament on Friday at EJHS, while Kole Smith (150) was crowned a sectional champion on Saturday in Stephens County.
Angel Rodriguez (113), Isaac Robbins (120), Mason Smith (126), Ryan Lampe (144), Tristan Sloan (157), Chse Wingfield (165), Evan Reed (175), DJ Ferizovic (190), Emer Jacinto (215) and Matthew Streetman (285) all qualified for the state meet.
Rogriguez and Smith were both sectional runner-ups, while Sloan and Jacinto each finished third in their sectional brackets.
