Qua Watson scored his 1,000th career point Saturday as the East Jackson Eagles earned their first win of the season by defeating Walnut Grove 74-64. Watson scored his career milestone point in the first quarter, en route to a game-high 33 points in the win. He also finished with seven rebounds and three steals. Noah Nichols finished with 15 points, seven boards and four steals. Branturan Callahan had eight points and a team-high 10 rebounds, while Jalen Stephens led the Eagles with five assists.
East Jackson hosts Apalachee on Wednesday, Flowery Branch Friday and Commerce on Saturday.
