The East Jackson boys basketball team earned a pivotal 73-64 Region 8-AA victory over Fellowship Christian on Tuesday night. The Eagles improved their overall record to 9-10 and 3-5 in region play, with the region tournament quickly approaching.
The Eagles were led by Qua Watson, who finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Senior Birdy Cunningham finished with 18 points, while Aaronn Blackman finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and Brody Carruth with 11 points, seven assists.
